5+ stars. I seriously loved this book. Cut & Run is a gripping, suspense-packed thriller with astonishing, multifaceted main characters and romantic elements. I was very positively surprised to find out that the relationship between the 2 MCs never really got that "romantic", as in sappy and smoochy--as far as I'm concerned [which is probably down to the fact that I'm a helpless non-romantic ;)], this is a problem of many, many books out there.The HFN instead of the HEA ending is very fitting and I in my opinion, everything else would have been unbelievable, at least at this stage of their relationship. So I'm very happy with the fact that the authors decided against a typical, awfully sweet and sugary happily-ever-after ending.I was hooked from the beginnig to the end. I really enjoyed this one and I'm glad that I finally made myself read it.Now I'm very interested what the 2nd book in the series has in stock for these two heroes...
