The Curtis Reincarnation

The Curtis Reincarnation - Zathyn Priest This book captivated me through the whole read. It is amazing how Priest always manages to give his characters such depth - they're totally believable. I totally bonded with them.

Well, there was one minor thing I wasn't totally happy with, though.
First I should mention that I don't believe in love at first sight - sure, you can feel a strong immediate attraction to somebody that can change into infatuation. Being in love with somebody and to actually love somebody are two very different things - to me, at least.

Knowing the above you can imagine why I actually rolled my eyes through that part of the book: Tyler Curtis and Jordan declare their undying love to each other within the first 24 hours they met...

And one should mention the lack of graphic sex scenes, which is definitely a PLUS in my opinion.
I prefer to read books that actually have a well thought out plot and characters with depth rather than all the erotic novels in which the sex scenes present the main plot and often enough the only plot.

Having said that I can't help but to highly recommend 'The Curtis Reincarnation' to everybody.
This was through and through a really great book to read.

EDIT (04/03/2012):

I've re-read this book recently and just don't seem to be able to feel my previous enthusiasm for the book any more.
As I've mentioned before, the love-at-first-sight element has never been my favourite and it seems to bother me even more now. It's just too sappy for my liking.
But that's not it, not really. I've just read so many great books lately some of which I've rated with 4 stars, some with 5 stars. Anyway, there are just too many 4-star books that are definitely and undoubtedly better than The Curtis Reincarnation, well, in my opinion at least.
So I've decided to adjust the rating downwards--to 3.5 stars.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed this book quite a bit, but it's just not 4 whole stars for me anymore.
