Didn't like this at all.

To be fair though, I've never been a fan of AUs in which the whole Hale family still lives because IMO Derek wouldn't be his brooding, snarky self that I so much love without having had to deal with the sudden tragic loss of his family.
Add to that the fact that I really never much bonded with fics in this fandom in which werewolves (and/or all kinds of other supernatural beings) are widely known to the general population... (which is to say: I avoid those like plague).

So why, considering my aforementioned reading preferences, or rather tropes I wholly dislike in this particular fandom, did I read this fic at all? Simple:because of its utter popularity at AO3..

But well. I've gotta say that even without taking the above into account my rating would still remain the same, not least because Derek was so overly pathetic and insecure and dumb and generally utterly OOC that it literally was painful to read...
